I hope, one day. . .

I hope, one day, I'll be as wise as my mother was.

I hope, one day, I'll be as brave as my father is.

I hope, one day, I'll be as independant as my sister.

I hope, one day, I'll be as strong as my brother.

I hope, one day, I'll be as loving as my uncle.

I hope, one day, I'll be as caring as my aunt.

I hope, one day, these traits I will have.

But now, today, I can only hope.

I've been thinking about your family a lot today.
I don't think you need to worry about being as wise as your mother...you remind me so much of her already.
Hang in there. There are so many thinking of you and praying for you.

I hope one day I will be kind, loving, caring, and wise like Mary (my daughter from another mother)

Sigh, I hope one day I can be as wise as your Mom too.
I'm glad so much family has been with you this week. Good luck in the coming days as things settle down and life resumes to a new normal that isn't so normal. I will think of often and pray for you daily. Thanks for posting.

You already know Mary, you are a child of God. You are smart and wise and so helpful. You are just as sweet and loving as she was. You are the spitting image of your mom. You are very brave and independent girl with all that went on in high school and how no matter what, you were always you. You did not give in to "today's world of fashion or trend". You stood up for what mattered and what was more important in life. You were always concerned about others and was always so kind and generous. Girl, you are such an amazing girl that I wish I could be more like you and could have been more like you. Brave against the peer pressure of high school and the world. You are an amazing daughter of God and He knows it. You mom knows it. I promise you that everything will be alright, the world hasn't ended, because life continues (concerning your FB status). We are always learning and we will always be growing. *hug* You're the best girl, don't lose sight of who you are and your strengths.

Annemarie- Thank you so much. I hope I can manage to use all the wisdom she left for me.

Diane- Thank you very much, all of the prayers are really helpful.

Jenna- Hahaha, thanks! That made me smile.

Other Mom- Thank you so much. Hearing from you always cheers me up.

Polly- She was really awesome. And I hope that this new normal becomes more comfortable with every new day.

Panda- I knew there was a reason you were my favorite sister ;) I appreciate all of the wonderful things you've said, but as to being brave in high school? I was a punk in high school. That wasn't bravery and independance, that was me trying to stick it to whoever got in my way. Hahaha, ahhh man I wanna smack my freshman self in the back of the head so bad.

You and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers this whole past week. Mary- your mom was a great lady, but she grew into that greatness by working to polish the natural gifts she had of being aware of others, of being kind and thoughtful, and of wanting to be sure people felt loved. You have the same gifts- and you, too, have the same desire (just as she did at your age) to use those gifts for good. You are already amazing, and you will become increasingly so if you just keep doing what you do and stay true to who you are.

Pk- thank you very much. I love how thoughtful and supportive you have been this past week. You are one of my dearest friends. :)

Julie- Thank you very much, I hope I can keep being who I am. I like who I am, and hope that someday, I'll be more like my mother than I am now.
